The CDP-200R Pictured here with the optional cs45p stand comes with a total of 670 tones, ranging from the sounds of the piano to string, wind and percussion instruments. It also features 200 rhythms from a wide range of genres, from jazz and pop to ethnic music from around the world. Among all these genres, the new piano especially features a variety of Latin rhythms such as the bossa nova and samba etc . With Registration memory this sets the user tones and music-rhythm favourites recalling quickly by genres and sounds and you have up to 32 making it.fun and convenient and all packed in a compact slim piano design .
The piano also comes with sampling features for recording any sound you want or your favourite musical phrases via the microphone jack or audio in jack and then playing them back on the piano’s keyboard. An SD memory card can be inserted into the built-in slot on the CDP-200R and used to store data such as sampled sounds and music played on the piano.
Casio’s unique new Step-up Lessons are also an attractive feature of the CDP-200R. Budding musicians can learn to play a whole song by repeating the simple steps phrase-by-phrase-just “Listen” to the sample music, “Watch” the fingering guide on the LCD screen, and then “Remember” by playing the song without assistance.
With the CDP-200R, Casio aimed not only for unsurpassed functionality but also outstanding basic performance. It employs Casio’s newly developed AHL Sound Source technology, which enables the realistic reproduction of a wide range of tones from acoustic instruments and a maximum polyphony of 48 notes.
Further, the CDP-200R uses a Scaled Hammer Action Keyboard. The keyboard achieves a natural touch since it incorporates no springs, relying instead solely on the weight of the hammers-just like a grand piano, the lower the note, the heavier the key, and the higher the note, the lighter the key.
