The AG-40 has an intricate 4' enclosure with a sleek hand rubbed ebony gloss finish to give it that beautiful look of an acoustic grand piano. To make this look even more like an acoustic, the fallboard is able to be closed just so that it is covering the panel controls, leaving just the keys showing. The keybed is a FATAR Keybed which is made only in Italy. It has exceptional response to different nuances and expressions in a pianists playing to reproduce the sound to suit your playstyle, and the hammer action keys provides the player with the experience provided by a true grand piano.

For beginners and teachers, or simply just 2 performers, there is a duet function, splitting the piano keys down the middle so that 2 people can play in the same octave, making it excellent for learning/teaching, and performances that would normally need 2 pianos. This function also makes the left and right pedals both act as a sustain pedal. For solo performers, there is intuitive and incredibly intelligent play along accompaniment that automatically produces full backing parts following your lead and chord changes. If you are learning alone, there is a built-in piano teacher with play along songs that can let you practice even one hand at a time.

There are various connectivity options including Bluetooth so you can play along with any songs playing from your device, or even connect it to Bluetooth compatible speakers to amplify your sound to much higher volumes. There is also a USB Port, and a thumb drive coming with the piano with hundreds of pre-recorded songs to playback and play along to. You can put your own recordings onto this drive or use your own USB when using the simple internal music recorder that will save your playing at any time with the touch of a button, or when working on more complex projects, the Multi-tracked Recorder allows you to record on 16-tracks of channels.
