Audio Technica Dual-element dynamic plus condenser cardioid kick drum mic (Inc: AT8471 clamp)

The AE2500 is an excellent kick-drum mic, designed with a dual-element instrument microphone includes a cardioid condenser and dynamic capsules combined in one housing. The dynamic element conducts a powerful attack of the beater; as the condenser takes in the round tonalities of the shell. Two layers of resistive mesh form multiple densities over the dynamic element’s side-entry ports, producing perfect control over the time at which off-axis signals are delievered at the diaphragm.
