It is independent of the Rack and also has a tension adjustable Mesh Pad. Unlike many kits at this price it is built with a solid metal mounting bracket to feel as much like a kick drum pushing back and resisting your desire to pump and cut thru the beat of your music 

CYMBALS with 3 STAGE MULTI-SAMPLE TECHNOLOGY

PowerStrike COMET MESH has been designed to provide the up-and-coming player with tools to allow you to expand your playing style and expressiveness. The Cymbal is a 3-way sound source. For example, the 'bell' sound, the 'rim' sound and 'crash' sound, including the ability to mute with a hand grip when you want to stop immediately. The cymbals have been custom designed and injection molded from a conductive polymer material that transmits to a highly sensitive sensor to communicate seamlessly to the Drum Brain Sound Module. These Cymbals can in turn be tuned and exchanged to suit your playing style in a pre-programmed User drum kit of your choice.

POWERHOUSE SOUND ENGINE TO SUIT ALL STYLES

Superbly sampled with 24 BIT technology, the COMET MESH has 165 combined drum and percussion sounds and a heap of product features that leave many other electronic kits in its class lying in their tracks. it combines not only Rock Metal and Jazz kits, but also drum machine sounds from Dance, Hip Hop to heaps of Latin percussion sounds, which allows the player to experience and play in an authentic environment utilising the sounds from the latest genres of music for all tastes in music.Don't be fooled by the number of sounds. Our Memory data is taken up with Long Loops and Higher sample rates.

DRUM BRAIN SOUND MODULE with Programmability 

Our POWERSTRIKE MESH is not just a playback drum module. The included Editing features make this a cut above many other electronic drum kits whereby you can customise the kit to suit your playing style. This can be expanded with extra pads  the host can expand with drum pads  and expansion cymbals, with MIDI in/out, left and right channels input
